Let’s talk about the elephant in the room, okay? Covid-19.

The Cumberland Valley Class of 1991 Reunion Committee is very much aware that there are many varying points of view surrounding Covid-19, the Covid -19 vaccines, and the World Wide Pandemic as a whole. We do respect everyone’s individual perspective on this subject. We had to make a decision on how we were going to handle this issue and move forward with planning our 30 Year Class Reunion. We decided acting in the best interest of protecting our most vulnerable of former classmates, would be the best course of action, and by doing so, this would protect everyone as a whole.

You might be thinking “Okay, what exactly does that mean?” Well, it means at this time, we will be following all precautions and guidelines provided by the CDC, when it comes to large gatherings. It also means that we will also be following any public health mandates put in place by Local, County, State and Federal Government Officials. Of course, ANY action taken will depend on the circumstances that are occurring at the time of our Class Reunion.

We are hoping by taking this stance now, it encourages those on the fence of attending, to come on out and join us for the evening! We and our venue, Magnolia Manor Weddings and Special Events, LLC, are taking the Covid threat seriously and will take every possible precaution necessary to create and maintain a safe environment for all. The venue has areas both inside and out, for us to utilize and be comfortable in.

Our main goals are to make sure everyone feels included, comfortable and respected, so we can all participate in the celebration of having survived 30 years, in the real world, post graduation. It is possible to have fun and still make sure everyone stays safe and healthy.

So, in closing, we will continue to monitor the Covid situation closely. As we add other social media platforms, we will share updates there as well.
